Coop's Nerf Party

Cooper wanted an Airsoft birthday party this year, but I told him that probably wasn't appropriate for 6 year olds, so he settled for a Nerf party instead.Eat boy got a baggie filled with a nerf gun and bullets.

We decided to have the party at the park so the boys would have plenty of room to run around.

I couldn't find a pinata anywhere that would work, so we just made our own!
Tyler & Zach were good sports and helped decorate and run the games.
Clark brought the balloons and pizza to the party in style!
The pizzas fit great in the side pouch. They were all smashed up to one side, but still edible. :)
Let the games begin!
Time for the stick beating.
After everyone had a turn, we gave up and let Cooper beat it to pieces without a blindfold.
Who's ready for cake? (I mean cupcakes??)
The wind mostly blew out the candles, but Coop posed for the picture anyway. :)
Many wished for another great year! We love ya, Coop! Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday, Cooper!

Zach gave Coop one of his favorite things in the world- MONEY!!!

Tyler gave him his other favorite thing right now...
and Airsoft gun.
I think he liked it, because he attacked Tyler with a big hug after opening it! :)

ANd, more guns. I guess it's a boy thing??

BYU Wins!!

So for those that don't know, it was my birthday today. Now I'm not big on birthdays anymore, but I did have just one little wish on my birthday- for BYU to beat those Utes! It got a little scarey there, but in the end they pulled through for me. Way to go Cougs!!!! This was Tyler's contribution to add to the excitement of the rivalry. :)

Turkey Time

The table's set, now we just need the food. What a delicious-looking bird!
This must be the boys' table.
Eat up, Little Man. And of course, the family photo.

Introducing Mr. Lavell Edwards!

For school, Tyler had to do an autobiography for his book report this month and he chose to be Lavell Edwards. They got to do a wax museum and dress up like their person. He had a lot of fun learning about the amazing BYU football coach. And these are his friends, Leonardo Da Vinci and Tiger Woods (at a happier time before the whole scandal came out).
He really is an amazing man.

Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen!!

The boys always like to dress up like Football Players for the school parade. Coop still thinks he is the toughest of them all!
Cooper and his buddy, Camden.
I got to go help with Cooper's class party.
We had fun making some scary treats.
My little Austin wasn't feeling very well and wasn't sure about this whole trick-or-treat thing.
But once he found out there was candy involved, his spirits really perked up!

The night brought out a bunch of crazy ghost and goblins. What a group, huh?
Later, Grandma and Grandpa stopped by and once again we had another costume change.

First Snow!

Austin was so excited to go out and play in the first snow of the year (he wouldn't even wait to let me get him dressed for the day).He ran up to play with his favorite truck and then paused and realized he wasn't so sure. But he decided to give it a try anyway. Not a good idea.
Finally, he decided maybe this snow stuff isn't so fun after all and headed back inside.
My thought exactly. Are we really ready for winter?? I'm thinking not quite yet.

Crazy Hair Day!

Another year, means another Crazy Hair Day! The kids said it was to remind them to "scare away drugs". They look pretty scarey to me (or maybe just a little goofy)! Either way, it was a lot of fun. :)
